Fraud Investigations
Deceit, trickery; specifically: intentional perversion of truth in order to induce another to part with something of value or to surrender a legal right.
Fraud is a type of theft which technically falls into the general category of a property crime. Fraud crimes however are more unique due to the tactic of using deception, concealment and or the manipulation of documents to accomplish their crime which makes the discovery more difficult and thus requires the specialized skill set of an investigator trained for this type crime. Because of the practice of using deception and concealment, losses tend to be higher in value and take longer to come to light than most other losses. Though Fraud is considered a property crime it can have severe ramifications of a personal nature as it can affect your professional and personal image as well as your well-being.
